Nominate an Artisan
What a Nomination Means
A nomination is an invitation to consider a person and their work. It is not a guarantee of filming, publication, or contact.
Lore Americana moves slowly and intentionally. Some nominations may not result in follow-up, and not all accepted nominations lead to completed work.
Who to Nominate
Nominations are welcome for individuals who practice a trade, craft, or form of work that carries skill, repetition, and lived knowledge—particularly where that work is changing, disappearing, or rarely documented.
Nominations may be submitted by the practitioner themselves or by someone who knows their work well.
Pace & Expectations
Lore Americana is a small, independent project. Nominations are reviewed periodically, and responses may take time. Silence does not indicate disinterest; it reflects limited capacity and deliberate pacing.
Nomination Form
Please share only what you feel comfortable providing. All submissions are treated with respect and discretion.

Thank you for taking the time to share this work. Submitting a nomination helps build a record of practices that often exist quietly and out of view.
